Towers of Earth Eligible for Nomination for 2017 Dragon Award; Nominations Open Until June 24, 2017

If you have enjoyed Towers of Earth, and believe it should be nominated for a science fiction award, The Dragon Awards is presently open for nominations by fans free of charge.

The Dragon Awards is a fan-based award for the best novels in science fiction and fantasy. Towers of Earth meets the criteria for nomination eligibility. The award was created by the organizers of DragonCon, Atlanta Georgia’s long-standing annual science-fiction and fantasy convention. Any and all fans may nominate works. There is no fee. Registration is done by name and email address. DragonCon kindly supports writers’ unabashed solicitation of fan votes for the awards. You can learn more about DragonCon and its history HERE.

There are 15 categories this year for the Dragon Awards, including game, movie, comic book, and graphic novel awards. There are 7 categories for traditional novels in the following sub-genres:

  • Best Science Fiction Novel
  • Best Fantasy Novel (including paranormal)
  • Best Young Adult/Middle Grade Novel
  • BestMilitary Science Fiction or Fantasy Novel
  • Best Alternative History Novel
  • Best Apocalyptic Novel
  • Best Horror Novel

Books cannot be nominated for more than one category. If you choose to nominate Towers of Earth, the category for this purpose should probably be Best Young Adult/Middle Grade Novel (even though the story is also well-received and enjoyed by adult readers).

If you want others to read Towers of Earth, the best thing you can do is tell others about it. Word of mouth is the key. One way to spread the news to a wider audience is through award nominations, such as the Dragon Award. Another way is to post a review on Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or any other outlet.
