The online Romance magazine, Daily Love, has accepted my new flash romance story, Battle Dress, for publication. It is scheduled to be featured on July 15, 2012.
Bewildering Stories has selected Letters to the Luminiferous Aether for publication in its Second Quarterly Review, due out June 25, 2012.

PETALUMA, Calif. — The Science Fiction Show in conjunction with Knightwatch Press released the line-up of authors for the upcoming military science fiction anthology “Battlespace, Volume 1” June 18.
The titles of the stories and their authors are (in alphabetical order):
“We could not have had a better line up of authors for this book,” said Jason Tudor, editor-in-chief for the book. Houin and Michael J. Wistock are also serving as editors. “We’re excited about the stories. That’s what will sell this book, these great stories. We’re also excited about the authors, who have been enthusiastic and gracious as we lead up to publication.”
“Battlespace, Volume 1” will retail for $9.99 and is a mixture of short stories and flash fiction. All proceeds from ebook and printed book sales benefit the Warrior Cry Music Project. The ebook version is slated to be released June 26.

About Warrior Cry
Warrior Cry is a group of volunteers who work with wounded soldiers in the Washington, DC, metro area. It provides the soldiers with musical instruments and then teaches them to play. Music is a great form of physical and mental therapy. Bewildering Stories issue 483 is out today, 
including the Editors’ Challenge Questions for my flash story, Letters to the Luminiferous Aether, the author response and corresponding Editor comments.
This is the 10th Anniversary issue of Bewildering Stories.
The Lorelei Signal, an award-winning web-based magazine dedicated to featuring strong female characters in fantasy short stories, and its corresponding print magazine, Mystic Signals, has accepted my 2,900-word short story, Bingham’s Deep Woods Fairies, a modern fantasy about a girl and the unexpected outcome of her fairy hunt. The story will appear in the October version of The Lorelei Signal, and the November issue of Mystic Signals.

Ray Bradbury, a master author and interesting and wonderful speaker, died June 5, 2012, announced today, June 6, 2012. His works, philosophy and life were and are inspiring, thought provoking and uplifting. We were lucky to have the opportunity to know him through his appearances and his work. Rest in peace.

The editors at Mindflights have selected my short story, 
Gentle Push, for publication in their internet magazine. Humanity has expanded to the nearby stars and has encountered a powerful enemy. The story provides the first-person point of view of a creature in an ancient alien race investigating the conflict and encountering a human under unusual circumstances. She is not what it expects, but proves to be quite resourceful and enlightening.
