Thirteen Becomes New Imprint at Horrified Press

Horrified Press has formally announced its new imprint, Thirteen Press, slated to begin operations imminently. All open calls for ‘Thirteen Press’ will appear on the Horrified Press site. Thirteen Press will be handled by talented editors & authors, George Wilhite, Dorothy Davis, Ken L. Jones and Kevin L. Jones.

Thirteen Press promises to open up a whole new dimension of themed-anthology terror. Its stories are not exclusively horror. Any good story that fits the theme of a particular invinoveritasanthology is considered. Certain anthologies, previously pending publication through Static Movement, have moved with these editors to Thirteen Press, including Broken and In Vino Veritas, among others, pending a re-edit and revised contract period with the authors. The most recent anthology announced as open for submissions by Thirteen Press as an imprint of Horrified Press is At the Stroke of Thirteen. The beginning of the acceptance list can be found HERE, and submissions guidelines should be posted soon.

Horrified Press has published many anthologies in e-book and paperback, including:

  • Dark in the Limelight
  • The Housewives – Go Nuclear
  • Just One More Step
  • Tales of the Undead: Suffer Eternal, vol. 1-3
  • Until the End

For a full list of available titles, see THIS POST by Horrified Press.

Presently open for submissions at Horrified Press are Nightmare Stalkers & Dream Walkers (vol. 2) and Spawned from the Social Networks. These Horrified Press anthologies are also described on Duotrope. Horrified Press does not pay up front, but has a royalties policy that is explained in THIS POST by Horrified Press.

Static Movement, mentioned above, also accepts stories for pending anthologies. It’s current list of open calls include, among others:

  • Demonology
  • Neon and Blood
  • Retellings
  • Visions Across 20 Light Years
  • Fountain of Youth
