My science-fiction short story, Gentle Push, is now 
published and available online at Mindflights. Humans retreat to Earth from the deadly Akridi horde. Gentle Push is the first person account of an ancient alien being scouting the advance and retreat. In so doing, it meets a lone human at Delta Pavonis. The encounter is not what it expects. But how does that bode for the rest of humanity?

Thanks. Please try again later. It appears Mindflights went down about the same time as the hacker attack against GoDaddy today, so it might be related. Hopefully it is up and running again soon.

Just finished reading. Excellent story! You did a great job putting the characters together, especially the non-stereotypical female. I look forward to reading more of your stuff.
By the way, I noticed you recommend Bickham and Bell in your Bio section. These are two authors I’m currently learning from. Do you feel they’ve helped you develop your craft?
